We offer several different kinds of internet access. Dial-up, DSL, T1, Bonded T1, DS3 or Ethernet… depending on what your application is, we can find a fit for you.

3 things to consider:

Product – Our DSL is not over saturated so you get what you pay for. We offer more than just internet access (domain purchases, DNS hosting, web hosting, shell, custom virtual servers and Google apps setup). Total solution is more important than burstable speed.

We also show customers how much they’re using. Why is this important? Incoming bandwidth after hours is a good sign someone is file sharing (maybe something they’re not supposed to be). Outgoing bandwidth is a good sign someone is infected with a virus and is spreading it to the internet, which will eventually get you blacklisted and no one will talk to your servers. Overall , knowing how much your using is a good starting point to know why users are experiencing “slowness” or if you need more bandwidth or a different connection.

Service – Our internet customers get Advanced Support (see below) with phone and live tech support.

Internet Experience based on 4 things:

#1 latency
speed of communications – how fast your packets travel. DSL is about 40 to 80 milliseconds. T1 is less than 10 milliseconds.

#2 reliability
if your car runs 100mph for 1 second, is that really a fast car? consistency in speed and having a reliable connection is very important. rarely do you use all the bandwidth on your internet connection, day to day activities usually need small amounts of bandwidth at low latency and reliably.

#3 bandwidth
the number that is always marketed to users. 3 MEGAbits per second , 10 MEGAbits per second… this number relates to how many people you can fit in your car. while bigger is usually better and more is usually wanted, because you rarely NEED all the space, bandwidth is 3rd most important factor.

#4 geography
something that can not be changed (unless you move closer to your internet target), but is very important. most internet services do not care how “far” you are from them because if it takes too long or data gets lost on its way to your computer (websites for example), the information is just sent again.

location location location becomes important when buying real time services such as voice and video services. you don’t want the other side repeating what they said every time or having a long long delay or sounding like they are under water. real-time services require low latency (#1) & reliable (#2) services which are as local as possible.
